Street Ride is a trading name of Go Mobility SRL, Rue de Linthout 176, 1040 Etterbeek (Brussels), Belgium. CBE / VAT: BE0802.097.651. Contact: info@streetride.be, +32 456 33 51 18.
These general terms and conditions (the “Terms”) govern the sale of products and the repair services provided by Street Ride (Brussels) to its customers, both in store and online. Any order, or any handing over of a device to the workshop, implies unreserved acceptance of the Terms.
(a) Consumer customers: legal guarantee of conformity
(b) Manufacturer commercial warranties (all customers)
Certain brands offer commercial warranties (e.g. specific periods for electronics/battery). These are in addition to consumers’ statutory rights and do not limit them. They apply in accordance with the manufacturer’s terms and exclusions.
Clarification in the event of refusal by the manufacturer/European reseller
Coverage under the manufacturer’s commercial warranty is subject to the agreement of the manufacturer or its European reseller. If the latter considers that a part does not fall within the scope of its commercial warranty, such coverage may be refused.
This in no way affects the legal guarantee of conformity owed by Street Ride to consumers: Street Ride remains their legal point of contact and will handle the claim, then exercise any recourse it may have against its own suppliers.
(c) Business customers (B2B)
In the absence of a written commitment from Street Ride, only the manufacturer commercial warranties apply in B2B, in accordance with their terms (specific periods may apply, e.g. battery). If the manufacturer’s commercial warranty has expired or is refused, coverage may be refused and a quotation will be offered.
Repairs carried out by Street Ride and the parts fitted benefit from a 6-month workshop warranty against any defect related to the work performed, unless more specific provisions below apply (3.2 and 3.4).
Exclusions: wear parts for normal wear and tear, damage due to accident/misuse/unauthorised modification.
This workshop warranty is without prejudice to consumers’ statutory rights.
Replaced inner tubes benefit from a 1-week guarantee of proper operation.
Conditions: (i) the existing tyre is judged to be in good condition (including the inside) or a new tyre is fitted during the work; (ii) the customer has not refused to replace a clearly damaged tyre (otherwise, the guarantee lapses).
Example: in the event of deflation within the week, Street Ride examines whether the cause is the installation or an external factor (nail, glass, etc.).
The following are excluded: damage from accident/impact, unauthorised modification, refusal by the customer to replace a defective part reported by the technician.
(supplier commercial warranty on replacement parts; takes precedence over 3.1 if different; under normal conditions of use; without prejudice to consumers’ statutory rights)
Condition for coverage (3.4): the supplier commercial warranty on parts is subject to the prior agreement of the supplier/European reseller. A refusal does not affect any statutory rights that Street Ride may owe to a consumer customer.
Free diagnosis for any claim under guarantee or warranty (legal/commercial).
The customer provides: proof of purchase, a description of the fault, any useful photos/videos. For batteries: we can read the BMS (cycles, cell voltages, over/under-voltage events, temperatures) to establish the cause objectively.
If the defect is covered: repair/replacement free of charge within a reasonable time. If not covered: a quotation is provided beforehand.
Consumers: where a defect is covered, no costs may be charged to the customer for implementing the guarantee (tests, parts, labour and, where applicable, the necessary logistics).
Business customers: unless otherwise agreed, the cost of shipping to the workshop is borne by the customer; where the claim is covered, Street Ride bears the cost of parts and labour.
The customer must allow the product to be examined and cooperate with the procedure (handing over the device, access to logs, etc.). A product that has been altered or dismantled by a third party may prevent the guarantee from applying.
(a) Collection period: as soon as the device (repaired, not repaired or subject to a refused quotation) is ready for collection, Street Ride notifies the customer by the chosen means of communication (SMS, e-mail or telephone). The customer has 30 calendar days from this notification to collect their device.
(b) Storage fees: after this 30-day period, and in the absence of any justified communication from the customer, storage and safekeeping fees of €2.50 incl. VAT per calendar day of delay will be invoiced automatically. These fees must be paid in full, in addition to the initial invoice, before the device is returned to the customer.
(c) Abandonment of the device: in accordance with Belgian law (Belgian Act of 21 February 1911), if a device is not claimed within 6 months of the notification that it is available for collection, and after a formal notice by registered letter has remained unanswered for 15 days, Street Ride shall be entitled to consider the device abandoned. Street Ride may then sell it by public or private sale to cover the repair and storage costs, or have it recycled.
Sales and repairs are payable immediately, before the product is handed over. Accepted payment methods: cash, bank card, or any other method advertised in store. For online orders: the payment methods offered when the order is confirmed.
Street Ride is not liable for damage resulting from misuse, unauthorised work, non-compliant modifications or failure to follow the manual. Nothing in this clause limits consumers’ mandatory rights.
In the case of shipment, the customer checks the condition of the parcel on receipt and reports any transport damage to the carrier and to Street Ride within a reasonable time. Risk passes on delivery.
For online purchases, consumer customers have a 14-day right of withdrawal from receipt, in accordance with the terms of our refund policy.
See our privacy policy, also available in store on request.
An amicable solution is sought first. Failing that, the courts of Brussels have jurisdiction. Belgian law applies to relations with consumers. For business customers, specific agreements (governing law/forum) that have been expressly accepted may be used.
Street Ride may amend the Terms at any time. The applicable terms are those in force on the date of the order (sale) or of receipt at the workshop (repair).
