Street Ride's private listings are free. So that everyone can buy and sell with confidence, every listing must follow the rules below.
1. Who can post
- Private individuals only, selling a scooter they own.
- You need to log in with your email address (code sent by email, no password).
- A maximum of 5 live listings per person.
2. What you can sell
- Used electric scooters, complete or for parts (to be stated clearly).
- Not allowed: stolen scooters or scooters without proof of purchase, scooters that are derestricted (speed limiter removed) or presented as easy to derestrict, items unrelated to scooters, services, listings from professionals.
3. An honest listing
- Real photos of the scooter for sale, no images found on the internet.
- An honest condition, mileage and description, defects included.
- The actual selling price, no bait pricing.
- No phone number, email address or link in the listing: buyers contact you through the website.
- No offensive, discriminatory or misleading content.
4. Contact and sale
- Buyers write to you through the listing's contact form. You receive their message by email and reply to them directly. Your email address is never shown on the website.
- The sale is concluded directly between you. Street Ride is not a party to the sale, does not collect any payment and does not guarantee the item.
- The 2-year legal guarantee owed by professional sellers does not apply to a sale between private individuals.
5. Safety tips
- Do the handover in person and test the scooter before paying.
- Never send a deposit remotely, and be wary of unusual payment requests.
- Ask for the purchase invoice and check the serial number.
- If in doubt, the Street Ride workshop can check the scooter before you buy (diagnostics from €30).
6. Moderation and reports
- Any listing can be reported with the "Report this listing" link. After 3 reports, it is suspended pending our review.
- Street Ride may remove a listing that does not follow these rules. To find out why a listing was removed or to dispute the removal, write to us at info@streetride.be.
- You can edit your listing, mark it as reserved or sold, or remove it at any time from "My listings".
7. Personal data
Publicly visible: the display name you choose, your town and your postcode. Your email address is only used to log you in and to forward buyers' messages to you. More information in our privacy policy.
