A clean, charged and well-photographed scooter sells faster and for more.
Upgrading your scooter, or not using yours any more? Here is where to sell it in Belgium, how to set the right price and how to avoid bad surprises at handover.
| Where | Strengths | Good to know |
|---|---|---|
| General classified sites (2ememain / 2dehands, for example) | Very large audience in Belgium, basic listing free. | Your scooter is lost among everything else on the site. Lots of messages, including scam attempts. Paid visibility options. |
| Facebook (Marketplace and groups) | Free, local, quick for common models. | Contact goes through your personal profile. Little technical information, lots of haggling. |
| Street Ride private listings | Electric scooters only, free to post, private messaging, automatic spec sheet and price gauge. | A free customer account is required. More targeted audience, just launched. |
Nothing stops you from posting in several places. Just remember to remove your listings as soon as the scooter is sold.
An electric scooter loses most of its value in the first year, then more slowly. In our calculation, a one-year-old scooter is worth about 70% of its new price, then loses about 15% a year. That starting point is then adjusted for:

Scammers mostly target sellers. Watch out for these scenarios:
For the handover, meet in a public place, let the buyer test the scooter on the spot, and only hand it over after a cash payment or a transfer that has actually reached your account.
Reminder. In Belgium, electric scooters are limited to 25 km/h on public roads. Sell your scooter in its original configuration, never derestricted.
We have opened a private listings space for electric scooters only. Posting is free, and every listing automatically shows the model's spec sheet and a gauge telling buyers whether the price is right. Buyers message you through the site: your email and phone number stay private, and you can accept, decline or counter an offer.
Bring your scooter to the workshop for a diagnostic before selling, and your listing will show the « Contrôlée par Street Ride » badge, a real selling point for buyers.
